Bird Watchers all around Japan are very interested in Onuma Koen and Onuma quasi-national park, as it is said to be a treasury of wild birds. The wild birds you can see are listed below.
Please notice that many kinds of rare birds, such as the Ruddy Kingfisher, the white-tailed eagle and the Steller's sea-eagle come to Onuma. They are often found at deer park, Shinrin Koen, and other places in the area. |

The fishing season in Onuma starts with the Spring thaw. Onuma is a famous place for fishing for deep bodied crician carp Fishing tournaments are held every year where lots of fishers gather in Onuma to catch deep bodied crucian carp sometimes, as big as 50cm.
